The physiatrist is the specialist in physical rehabilitation.
The physiatrist is a medical specialist dedicated to the diagnosis, medical treatment and rehabilitation of all patients, regardless of age, with neuromusculoskeletal conditions and related disabilities.
The physiatrist diagnoses, investigates, treats and rehabilitates patients with lower limb disorders for walking, upper limb disorders for gripping, and spinal disorders. They act to help patients regain their abilities, functions and reduce their handicaps.
